Failure to rapidly detect antibiotic resistence in gram-negative bacteria has contributed to their uncontrolled spread, and on occasions to therapeutic failures. CHROMagar has introduced a set of slective supplements specially designed for screening gram-negative bacteria which express different kinds of used antibiotics susceptibility. CHROMagar KPC detects carbapenemase producing bacteria.
