PCR kit for identification of the British, South African/Brazilian variant of SARS-CoV-2 from the German company R-biopharm

RIDA®GENE SARS-CoV-2 Lineage RUO multiplex real-time PCR-Test for identification of the British B.1.1.7, VOC202012/01, South African B.1.351, 501.V2 /Brazilian B.1.128 P.1 variant of SARS-CoV-2 will be launched during week 7.

With this test identification of above mentioned mutation variants can be run directly on your PCR instrument with result within 1,5 hour.

The British variant is identified directly in a separate channel while the South African and Brazilian will be identified together. The analysis uses 3 channels:

  • Channel 1: detects B.1.1.7
  • Channel 2: detects B.1.351 and B.1.1.28 P.1
  • Channel 3: SARS-CoV-2
