Latest news from 20th of May 2020: GeneProof PCR kit for Covid-19 can now be used directly from patient sample-no RNA extraction is needed. Instead a 20 min heatingstep is carried out and the RNA availability is controlled by GeneProofs unique viruslike internal control.

The products are CE IVD certified.
The kits are designed by WHO recommendations, including triple target detection: RdRp gene, E gene, N gene.
GeneProof SARS-CoV-2 PCR kit allows confirmation of FAM-positive detection in a second independent channel or reaction.
The kits also keeps the concept of Ready-to-Use Master Mix, which significantly simplifies laboratory workflow and reduces possible mistakes of overloaded laboratory staff.
The kits contain unique internal control which consists of an enveloped nucleoprotein particle imitating coronavirus. This approach ensures control of all critical steps during the whole diagnostic process: virus particle lysis, RNA purification, reverse transcription and PCR reaction inhibition. All this paved the way for fully controlled combinability of the kit with any kind of RNA extraction method or even only sample lysis without RNA extraction.
